Speedy gnomes supercharge methodical gaming with a fast & furious sock-grab
The cinematic beauty of modern video games is showcased in such epic games as Skyrim where you can lose yourself in the amazing world spun off a games disc. As much as I love these genres, I sometimes feel the fast frantic pace of so many of my retro gaming favorites is lost in today's gaming. Yearning for some simpler fun, I discovered 2 Fast 4 Gnomz by Press Play on Nintendo's WiiWare.
2 Fast 4 Gnomz is an intoxicatingly fun platformer with sinister speed and simple gameplay. As soon s it starts your Gnome takes off and its up to you to react quickly with a jump or parachute deployment to get keep him on track. The fast scrolling background is wonderfully complex (which will cause many gnome deaths if you stop to admire it) combined with good music and awesome sound effects. This game has a good sense of humor and it's manic pace keeps you engaged, but the death toll may frustrate.
It's reasonably priced in Nintendo's WiiWare shop and has a demo to lure you in to it's red-capped madness. Give it a try - we love it!
