Fifty-three games is music to our ears! Covering multiple genres and eras from the SEGA Genesis, the SEGA Genesis Classics for PlayStation 4 is going to be awesome. Some games are carried over from the PS3 release, but this one has a great selection along with some modern additions.

You can save your game progress at any time - as often as you want. There are online achievement boards as well. But check out this game list! I'm dying to play so many of these titles!

Sure, I'd rather pop a cart into my Genesis console, but there's something nice about having all these games at your fingertips and displayed properly on a modern TV. You can bolster the retro vibe with the included double-sided poster featuring Streets of Rage on one side and Golden Axe on the other.

Get ready - it's being released on May 29th!

Ensuring The Future Of Retro Gaming

Game releases like this are vital to the preservation and future of retro gaming. The ability to play these games on modern systems is a good thing. Yes, I'm aware of emulators, ROMs, and Raspberry Pi - thanks for asking. Most importantly, it puts these games on the same shelf as the big AAA titles. Those browsing for games will see this on the shelf and that's worth more than you may think.

Retro gaming isn't just for old guys like me who grew up playing these titles on game cartridges with a CRT. These games represent a part of video game history and kids who think Microsoft invented video games should have the option to easily play great titles like Streets of Rage, Vectorman, and Toejam & Earl on their modern consoles.

My son loves modern games, but we always have time for Missile Command or Wizard Of Wor. That's what gaming is all about. It's the most fun you can have exploring history!
