Broken links and missing files lead to the best 404 error page ever - Space Invaders
The QA (Quality Assurance) process for websites doesn't always go as planned. Inevitably a broken link goes undetected often resulting in a 404 error page being displayed in place of the intended content. Some sites have custom 404 pages providing links back to the site while others lay fallow and generic echoing, "It sucks to be you."
Then there are folks who take a very creative approach to error screens and create interactive retro gaming masterpieces. Such is the case with the mass:werk media environments' web site where they've created an interactive Space Invaders 404 error page. Very cool!

This clever code allows you to enter custom error codes to change the text/numbers of the "shields". Very slick!
